GR series sliding and swing gate control boards:
Remove the control box cover and locate the P1 black button (there are 3 in a row).
Press the P1 on the control board ONCE and the RED LED LD1 will shine for about 2 seconds. The light will turn OFF then turn ON automatically 2 seconds later. You then have 10 seconds to complete the following.
Pick up your new remote and press one button (2 seconds minimum) to transmit a new code.
The RED LED will turn OFF immediately after the correct transmitted code is entered.
Note: RED LED will stay ON for 10 sec before returning to default setting. If the control board receiver does not recognise the remote code, 10 sec will elapse and no code will be entered.
Hint: Place remote in a dry safe location (on your sun visor in your car with Velcro) to increase reliability and life of battery. Do not place on your key ring or in you pocket.
Test the system: Press your remote for 2 seconds to activate an open cycle with fast ticking sound from control board. Check close cycle with slow clicking. If gates do not open then check trouble shooting.
Note: Whatever logic has been selected, the first Start command after the power is supplied to the electronic card will always cause the start of an opening cycle.
You can also program a second button (channel) on any transmitter to open in pedestrian mode. To program a transmitter to pedestrian opening press “P1” twice and release (NB: Each press of P1 should be spaced by 1 second minimum), when “DL1” is lit press the button (channel) you wish to use for pedestrian access. Up to 50 codes may be stored in any combination of full open or pedestrian open.
Erase all stored hand held remote codes:
Warning All stored remote codes will be erased including wireless keypads.
Press and hold the P1 down until the RED LED goes off (about 10-12 sec).
Tuning your GR swing and slider control board
Remote system: The receiver card is 433.92 MHz and removable for service. Remotes have several buttons on them for different applications with the same freq card fitted.
Remote learn: Remove the cover of the gate motor control box using a Phillips head screw driver. You will now be able to view the motor control board. Locate the “CODE Learn” black button “P1”
Press once and the red Led light next to the button will light ON (max 20 seconds). Pickup your new remote and press once the button at the top, the LED light on the control board will go OFF then press same button on your remote again. If the LED light blinks, the learning is completed. Only 1 button on each remote can be learnt at any one time.
Removing all codes: Press P1 button for more than 8 seconds. LED will flash then shine. ALL REMOTES WILL BE ERASED.
Using Remote: When remote is pressed it will activate a single cycle. When pressed again it should stop the cycle. Pressed again will activate the opposite cycle as the one before. We recommend you place it loose in your vehicle so as when you point it through your window, it will give the best line of sight than on your key ring due to metal interference.
Care of remotes: Moisture can damage your remote so keep in a dry place. Do not place in you rain coat pocket. Do not place next to a microwave oven or transformer. Replacement batteries and extra remotes are available from www.easygate.co.nz
